Fall is a fun time when it comes to fashion. You can finally break out your long sleeves, boots and jackets that were stored away for months. As a student, you most likely don’t have much to spend on new clothes. Not to worry because all you need is a few new pieces to change up your look. Since temperatures are still mild, you can mix and match your fall and summer clothes to save.

Look stylish on campus with these fall fashion trends:

Knit Beanies

Having a bad hair day, but need to get to class in a hurry? Simply throw on a knit beanie. Knit beanies are trendy, fashionable and practical for the cool fall months. As an accessory for your head, they do more than keep your head warm. They are made in a variety of styles, colors and sizes and can be paired with almost any outfit.

High Boots

Nothing says fall fashion like a pair of high boots. High boots are in. We’re talking up to your knees high. Wearing boots is a simple way to add freshness to your every day look.

Decorative Scarves

Autumn can be chilly, but the plain boring scarves are not what should be keeping your neck warm. As you shop for your fall and winter clothes, keep in mind, a scarf can (and should) be an accessory too! Warm up fashionably with patterned and colorful scarves to accent your outfit.

Cross-Body Bags

That’s right. Cross-body bags are still in. And it’s a good thing because they are handy, versatile and fun!  For fall, you probably want a larger option for carrying all your necessities to class.  A brown, slouchy cross-body bag is perfect for the fall season.

Skirt & Sweater Combo

Fall is one of those seasons when the weather is not too hot, and not too cold. Cover both sides of the spectrum with a skirt and sweater combo for your go-to fall outfit. The casual look of the sweater with the dressy look of the skirt makes the perfect contrast for a versatile, trendy look. Wear a knit or classic sweater with any type of skirt, such as a pencil or flirty full skirt, with tights or leggings on a chilly autumn day.

Always remember you can still look fashionable and stay within you budget. All it takes is a few trendy pieces and mixing up outfits to create a stylish look. Wondering where you can find these items at a decent price? Visit some of these affordable stores: Target, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, H&M, Marshalls, JCPenny. Of course, I can’t list them all. Happy shopping!
