Easy & Simple Dorm Recipe: Guacamole

Finding it difficult to find something that you can make in your dorm without your RA freaking out?

Here’s a quick and easy recipe that is sure to be a hit (and it’s actually good for you, too).

Classic Guacamole:

This recipe does not require a stove, oven, or skillet. All you need is a cutting board, knife, and bowl and you should be good to go.

This snack is perfect for after class or on the weekends. Use it as a dip, spread for a sandwich or even on a salad.

What you need:

– 3 California avocados – peeled and pitted

– 1 ½ Tsp. of lemon juice

– 1 Clove of crushed garlic

– 1 Tomato finely chopped

– ¼ Cup of finely chopped onion

– ¼ Tsp. of ground cumin

– Salt to taste

– 2 Drops of hot sauce (optional)

What to do:

– Using a fork, coarsely mash avocado with lemon juice and garlic.

– Stir in remaining ingredients to blend.

– Garnish as desired and serve with tortilla chips.
