This is a sponsored review courtesy of Fanny Wang Headphone Co.
The folks at Fanny Wang (yes I know, funny name) sent us a pair of their 3000 series headphones for review and now, in the College Cures office, we are fighting over who gets to listen to their songs via this awesome headphone.
I generally use in-ear headphones as they don’t take up much space in my bag, so I was keen to try Fanny Wang as they are smaller in comparison to other brands that produce high definition earphones and they fold up for easy storage.
After blasting some beats on my iPod, I have come to the conclusion that a re-arrange of my handbag to make a little extra room for these headphones would be well worth it.
Despite the funny name, these headphones are all business when it comes to producing top quality sound. They deliver a thumping bass when you need it – just like Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, David Guetta or whomever you have on your playlist intended.
These are great for listening to some beats in the library while studying as even though I cranked the sound up high – my colleague next to me who is now bopping along to some cool tunes – couldn’t hear a peep. Which is a good thing, as I just told him he has one minute left with the headphones before I steal them back.
Probably the best thing about these headphones is that they come with Fanny Wang’s Duo Jack – so a friend can tune into your music. All they need to do is to plug their headphones into the Fanny Wang jack and they will be bopping right along with you.
Fanny Wang calls these headphones the “first social headphones”. It is an amazing feature to have on a set of headphones and one that I have often grumbled about not being available before.
I have often found myself left out in the cold while a friend enjoys music or a movie on a flight – and with Spring Break coming up there is going to be plenty of travel. Why not get the party started on the way there?
These headphones have a pretty sleek design and were easily adjusted so I could fit the ear cups comfortably over my ears. While I rocked a black and silver pair, they do come in a range of funky fresh colours.
All in all, Fanny Wang has delivered a top quality headphone that delivers superior sound quality in a super sleek package. There is no question this would be an excellent headphone to have on campus and beyond.

I am despite! My apple earbuds keep falling out of my ears. Thus far I have been unable to get through the song “Some Guys Have All The Luck” by Rod Stewart.
My usual headphones have a weak wire, so the left ear doesn’t work at all. I am strongly against earbuds- they hurt my ears after 2 minutes. I love listening to the Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand!
Only 3 people want these headphones? Come on people!
I want to try something new…i’ve been using earphones all my life. it’s time for a change!
I NEED to upgrade my headphones. I love listening to music when I’m studying, unfortunately I’ve developed and affinity for playing that music to loud on my crappy headphones and the sound leaks through for everybody to hear.
