A Lesson In Following Your Dreams: If Ke$ha Made It, So Can You!

Attention college students: do you have big dreams? Do you crave success in school and your career? Do you want it all, but you’re not sure how to make it happen?

If you really want something, then you should be willing to do almost anything to get it. I mean, let’s take Ke$ha for example.

This whack job artist wanted to break into the pop scene so bad that she broke into Prince’s home to leave him a demo. Classy?  Maybe not, but classy isn’t really her game.

Seriously, look at her.  She has a terrible voice, awful lyrics, and uses a $ sign in her name…

She’s obviously not that smart, and she really isn’t talented, but you know you’ve car-danced to her songs.

Did you know that “Tik Tok” is the longest running debut single by a female artist since 1977?  Doesn’t that make you want to just put your head into a lions mouth and hope for the worst?

Instead of getting annoyed by Ke$ha, from now on, I’m using her as motivation.  When I want something badly, I’ll do what I can to make it happen.  Breaking into homes, and using a $ somewhere in my name will no longer be off limits.

Take home message?

As college students, your dreams are at your fingertips. Make the best of bad situations, always be shooting for something in the distance and work hard to get whatever it is that you want in your life; if Ke$ha can do it, you better believe that you are just as (if not more) capable.

In the end, it’s about thinking way outside the box to attain your dreams.  What can you start doing differently?
